Tuesday

Well I just got back from a run and now I'm boiling a big pot of brussels sprouts. Sounds very unappetizing but I've actually grown used to them and I'm starting to really like them. I put Peppercorn Ranch dressing and chicken on top and I find it delicious! Brussels sprouts have a good amount of vitamin A and C, folic acid and fiber. Also! They may protect against colon cancer because they contain singrin! ( Be careful not to overcook because they release glucosinolate sinigrin (releasing the sinigrin)...I'm not really sure how long to cook them yet...I just sample them to make sure they're not getting too soft.

The Milledge Bus doesn't seem to be running for the month of May...I found that out the hard way this morning. But! May is National Bike Month and May 21 is Bike-to-Work day...so I'm determined to start riding my bike to campus.(I'm afraid of packing my laptop until I get a plastic case to attach to it.)
* I read recently that if you bike to work that the Bicycle Commuter Act entitles you to 20 dollars a month. I think that's pretty exciting if you're in the work field...saving on gas and getting extra money.

  2. Yeah, I would absolutely research the act and talk to your boss if I were you...might be based on being full-time employed? No idea! But that would be so great if you were covered under that!
